ABOUT

Solomon, AND WHAT HE DOES

Established since 1982. Member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen. Solomon started his journey as an apprentice at H & L Epstein of London. There he learnt traditional upholstery and antique restoration. A few years later, in 1982,he ventured out on his own and opened his first workshop on the Archway Road, Highgate, where he dealt in re-upholstery and restoration of fine furniture.

Nothing brings a piece of furniture to life as much as re-upholstery. Solomon Upholstery has over 40 years experience in traditional upholstering techniques, such as hand-wound coil springs, ‘stuff and stitch’ horsehair stuffing and cotton padding. With our expertise we can help bring out the full potential of your furniture, whether it is a traditional antique piece or something more modern. The team at Solomon Upholstery will work closely with you to achieve the results you want – we are confident that you will be delighted with the end result.

We can also help bring your décor together, as we make soft furnishings to any design or size. We have thousands of fabrics to choose from, including leather. All our work is guaranteed and a collection and delivery service is available. Contact us for advice or a free, no-obligation quote. Visits are welcome – we are always pleased to offer friendly and helpful advice.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Solomon did such a beautiful job restoring and reupholstering two chairs. They look fantastic and are super comfortable. Solomon was a pleasure to work with - prompt and helpful replies to emails, quick completion of the work and sound advice on fabrics. I would highly recommend him.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Outstanding work from Solomon and his team. From start to finish, the service was brilliant. He refurbished a vintage couch for my business, collecting it, restoring it, and returning it all within a day — which was hugely impressive. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are second to none, and the customer service was genuinely excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend Solomon Upholstery. 6 Stars!!!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Solomon is a master craftsman. He helped us with selecting high quality material and then perfectly reupholstered our two sofas. The finished job was absolutely amazing, they came back as if they were brand new sofas - in fact better than when they were new. Very impressed by the way the material lines up perfectly symmetrically. Really pleased with our new sofas, thank you Solomon for a great job and I can recommend him very highly.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We found Solomon"s name and details after thorough research on Google. He was the right person to trust our favourite chair to for upholstery and intensive repair. As a family heirloom it was important the job was done with love and care.
Solomon did not disappoint as we are delighted with end result. Job was carried out with updates and photos and we were kept fully involved. We had to go some distance to deliver and pick up the chair but it was a delight to meet Solomon in person by doing so.
Thank you Solomon for your excellent knowledge of antigues and your love in restoration shines through.

Solomon is a true craftsman, offering a friendly and professional service at a competitive price.
In just over two weeks, he collected my chair covered in Union Jack fabric and returned it home, dressed in ochre velvet, looking a million dollars!
I cannot recommend his work highly enough and will definitely use him to revive another chair currently waiting in the wings…
